This is the best Mexican restaurant in Lafayette, IN. I've been coming here for the past 2 years and always have a wonderful experience. The staff is super nice and the food is 10/10!
Been in town for 5 weeks. Just tried Riviera Maya. Wished I had come sooner. Had chicken chimichangas, so good. The chicken was moist and flavorful. The tortillas was fresh and flaky. Very often the chicken is dry even with tomato onion and peppers. Not this one. The flavor was right there with the first bite. I ordered extra sour cream, did not need it. The side of guacamole was creamy and full of flavor. The salad and chips were delicious. The chips thin but sturdy and I wondered about the salsa. It looked like tomato sauce. Nope. It was fresh, bright and thick. I could not finish my food. I was stuffed.
Came here to celebrate cinco de Mayo. It started off rocky, but then a very good experience! I had lots of fun. The food is very delicious and hot. The menu is massive so it's a lot to choose from. I ordered the carnitas plate with beans and rice. The meat was very tender and the beans were whipped just like how I like it. For my drink I ordered the house margarita and they put good amounts of alcohol so it was definitely on point! It was very busy since it was a popular celebration day. The service was a little rusty but our server was a sweetheart. We had a little issue but the owner came over to help and he was definitely amicable and professional. They made our experience epic and a night to remember. The Dorbel tequila they had us try was very smooth, I will have to purchase be a bottle of it. The ambiance is perfect! It's a very live restaurant and quite busy. I like the decor and how tall the booths go to have distance from others. It's pretty spacious and good for special occasions. I would definitely come back again! The servers and management are accommodating and that is what matters. It's easy parking and in the Perfect area on South St.
Service is fast, my favorite are the enchiladas or the fajitas. You will not leave hungry
